Griefs Solace

Grief's Solace"

In unwished moments, grief descends

Like rain, it surrounds him, a relentless friend

He tries to shut his eyes, to escape the pain

But memories linger, an aching refrain

Perhaps, he cries out loud, in desperation's grip

A lonely cry, echoing through the night's dark rip

He yearns for guidance, a gentle hand to lead

But finds himself alone, with heart and soul to read

They ask him, "Grief's son, why wander and roam?"

"Do you have a mother?" They query, a heartless tone

"Why walk in darkness?" They ask, without a care

"Why tears of loneliness?" They probe, with no repair

But he rejoices intentionally, amidst sorrow's sway

And cries unexpectedly, in a grief-stricken way

Maybe they think him mad, a gamble, a risk to take

But he's just a soul, lost, with heartache to unmake

Grief's son calls out to his mother, a cry in the night

Perhaps she'll hear his plea, and guide him to new light

Though he stumbles, lost, without direction or aim

He appreciates the care of those who remain
