A Silent Confession

My heart beats fast, yet I'm frozen in fear,
Afraid to say "I love you," my words unclear.
I yearn to be near you, hold you close and tight,
But fear of rejection and loyalty's weight.

You belong to him, my friend, my confidant,
A bond that binds, a love that's not meant to be bent.
Is betrayal worthy, to pursue my heart's desire?
Or am I too late, lost in love's embers, my soul on fire?

My love for you grows, yet I'm silenced by shame,
Afraid to confess, my emotions in vain.
I love you deeply, but can't utter the words,
My secret kept hidden, my heart forever blurred.
