Griefs Solace

Image
Grief's Solace" In unwished moments, grief descends Like rain, it surrounds him, a relentless friend He tries to shut his eyes, to escape the pain But memories linger, an aching refrain Perhaps, he cries out loud, in desperation's grip A lonely cry, echoing through the night's dark rip He yearns for guidance, a gentle hand to lead But finds himself alone, with heart and soul to read They ask him, "Grief's son, why wander and roam?" "Do you have a mother?" They query, a heartless tone "Why walk in darkness?" They ask, without a care "Why tears of loneliness?" They probe, with no repair But he rejoices intentionally, amidst sorrow's sway And cries unexpectedly, in a grief-stricken way Maybe they think him mad, a gamble, a risk to take But he's just a soul, lost, with heartache to unmake Grief's son calls out to his mother, a cry in the night Perhaps she'll hear his plea, and guide him to new light Though he st...

The Unheard

Image
The Unheard Left speechless, words escape me  No excuses left, only silence Should confess, 'it was my fault?" But I was in the backyard, lost in my hobby's calm Still, the weight of responsibility stays A burden to bear, a heart that sways  Accepting blame, a bitter pill to swallow A pain that lingers, a disappointment to follow  Perhaps time will heal, perhaps it won't  But for now, l'm left with this hollow thought A search for answers, a reason to claim  But the truth remains exclusive, a lingering shame

Sorrow's Refrain

Image
"Cry of the motherless boy, echoing across the seas, A haunting melody, like a morning glory's sigh. A sad song, filled with anger and sorrow, Eyes brimming with tears, as memories unfold. He recalls the sweet serenade of tree birds, Once sung through the window, now a distant echo. He yearns to hear it again, to soothe his soul, But it's lost, leaving only longing and pain. The motherless boy lies restless, in a bed of despair, Sorrowful and alone, with no comfort in sight. His cry resonates, a heart-wrenching plea, For the love and solace he's never known."

Beyond Silence

Image
Deep inside me, a nagging doubt resides, Something feels off, a sense of unease I've tried. To shake it off, but it persists, a constant hum, Do you mind if we talk about it, my dear, my love? What's wrong, my heart beats fast, my mind awhirl? Why this fear of distance, these unsettling thoughts I've heard? Why do I call, and no answer comes? Please, tell me, I need to know, to understand, to ease my soul's dark hum. Perhaps it's worth sharing, perhaps not, The choice is yours, my dear, my heart is open, like a book. I'm here to listen, to offer a supportive ear, If not, I'll still be here, waiting, without a s peck of fear.

Love not War

Image
Give me your love, my dear, Fill me with happiness in the night, For service should be daily, not just in sight. Love not war, I say, Look no worry, for I have no might, But now, you've turned against me, Like a wolf, with rumors spreading free, Innocent masks hide your face, Oh, just like a plan, a deceitful pace. Why the betrayal? Look in my eyes, Tell me, dear, is it love or war that lies? Between us, or perhaps more, Please tell me, and end this painful score. Love not war, like the papery woman, You've taken your path, uncovered and unspoken, Forgetting that your body had a shape, When covered, it gained you respect, and a noble escape. But now, your foolishness has led you astray, To the path of empty death, in disarray, Just like the papery woman, it's now war, not love, A tragic end, sent from above.

A Silent Confession

Image
My heart beats fast, yet I'm frozen in fear, Afraid to say "I love you," my words unclear. I yearn to be near you, hold you close and tight, But fear of rejection and loyalty's weight. You belong to him, my friend, my confidant, A bond that binds, a love that's not meant to be bent. Is betrayal worthy, to pursue my heart's desire? Or am I too late, lost in love's embers, my soul on fire? My love for you grows, yet I'm silenced by shame, Afraid to confess, my emotions in vain. I love you deeply, but can't utter the words, My secret kept hidden, my heart forever blurred.

The True Meaning of Christmas

Image
_The True Meaning of Christmas_ Millie slumped in front of her computer, searching for the true meaning of Christmas online. With 49 million sites to sift through, she felt overwhelmed. "Where's the real Christmas?" she wondered. Sites about Santa Claus, the Grinch, and commercialized holiday products flooded her screen. Recipes and cultural celebrations from around the world added to the noise. Millie's confusion deepened. "Isn't Christmas about the birth of Jesus Christ?" she asked herself. After all, Christ is in the word Christmas. She opened her Bible and read about Jesus' birth. Tears of joy filled her eyes. "This is what I've been searching for – the real meaning of Christmas!" This holiday season, remember that Jesus Christ is the reason for the celebration. Look for Him amidst the hustle and bustle.                                         By Emmax Jojo D

Amanda's Awakening

Image
Amanda, the night when all were asleep, Took her bag and fled to the wilderness, leaving no trace to keep. No note, no hint, just a vanished soul, With peeping breasts, owl eyes, and girlish lips, she made her goal. Never looking back, she ran alone, A mystery to all, her path unknown. Amanda, the English rose, who painted the town red, A pillar of strength for men, or so they thought, in their heads. Perhaps that's why she escaped, or maybe not, Only she knows, with a heart that's hot. She plays the game, like she did in the arena's fight, Escaping love that felt like a suffocating night. Amanda's no delicate china, nor a golden ring in a pig's nose, She's a girl who hates the ordinary, and that's how it goes. Maybe she's searching for Mr. Right, or maybe not, Amanda's journey is hers alone, and that's a fact.

The Space Between Us

Image
My dear, why start anew? The old chapter's closed, yet you pursue A fresh beginning, leaving me behind Why ignore my presence, my heart and mind? How did you master the art of silence? Is there still a space for me, or am I too late? I stand at the door, yearning to enter Yet, it's sealed, and I'm left to wonder and wait. Is it truly you out there, or someone unknown? A stranger in disguise, or a love overgrown? The space between us grows, a chasm wide and deep I'm lost in the darkness, searching for a glimpse, a spark to keep.

Dry Bones

Image
Days have passed, and we wander, lost. Brighter days once shone before us, Now but a distant memory. Light fades, and night's dark veil descends, Coldness envelopes the earth, and hope ends. Our enemies rejoice out our demise, For they see our strength has folded like the light. Our bones remain dry, devoid of life, Where has our vitality gone? The moon, a glowing crescent, knows perhaps, Shining bright in the dark of night. The sun, a fiery orb, knows maybe, Shing bold in the light of day. Together, we once stood as one, Holding hands in unity, under the same sun. Each holding another's defense, a bond so strong, A mechanism to survive, where love did belong. But now, thoughts of a leave, a farewell, linger on, Untill further depart, when we'll be gone.  The passing wind whispers secrets, maybe.

Remember Our Vow

Image
Brother dear, look at me,  Be open, let your heart be free, I'm willing to listen, to understand, Speak out, let your emotions expand. What hurts you, is it love? Are you heartbroken, sent from above? Tell me, I'll be here to mend, Perhaps, it's about me, and I'll make amends. Brother dear, remember our vow, To hold each other's hand, through every ebb and flow. To cry on each other's shoulder, to never let go, To stand together, through every stormy weather. Look in my eyes, tell me true, Do you still trust me, do you still believe in me, too? Do you still have faith that we'll prosper, That we'll shine through? Brother dear, what's the silence for? Have you forgotten, or is it something more?

Shadows Of The Night

Image
She is a girl, a girl of prey  Waiting for nightfall, she'll find her way Through city streets, where shadows play She'll hunt for survival, night after day With eyes like birds that soar and glide  She scans the roadside, her prey to find A vulnerable soul, in a world of strife She's forced to adapt, to survive in life  Is she a prostitute, or just a girl in need? A victim of poverty, or a survivor indeed? The lines blur, as she walks the night  A complex web, of separation and light

Dora's Lament

Image
In the dead of night, Dora's fate Was sealed, captured, and enslaved, a life to await No argument, no plea, just torment and pain A slave, an African, in a modern world's chains Silenced, like her ancestors before In the presence of her master, she's a peasant once more Perhaps a mistress, locked away In a room where walls confine her sorrow, her dreams astray Rats, her only friends, in this desolate space Dear Dora, a captive of nature's beauty and grace At the window, she stares, lost in thought Counting stars, and crescent moons, her heart, forever caught She yearns to be free, like the bees in the air To soar with purpose, without a single care Perhaps, in the sky, she'll find her refuge and peace And leave the chains of slavery, forever released.
